This guy is a giga brain multimillionaire trader btw…
And some of his best advice?
“Lower your IQ”.
When I first heard this I thought, “Wtf do you mean lower my IQ? You want me to go back to uni??” (I’M JOKING. I AM JOKING)
But after applying this advice to my work and social life, I can tell you one thing:
This Low IQ shit WORKS.
(we’re smoothbrainmaxxxinnnggg all 2025 and beyond)
And don’t stress. This piece isn’t about trading so I won’t bore you with details about the markets.
But I do have to start there for some much needed👇
Context:
The general idea is that when you’re in a “bull market” (prices going up),
Don’t overthink
Don’t overanalyse
Don’t try to be a genius
Just lower your IQ and Long the market.
Follow simple narratives that make money. Set aggressive targets. Minimal thinking.
That’s it.
A random visual aid I made for my fellow low IQ smoothbrainoors:
At least this is how I interpret it.
Btw, this concept applies to everything→ business, relationships, trading, content, etc. I’ll show you how in a sec.
But first, a rant:
You’ve been tricked into thinking that success/ winning needs to be complex, hard to access, and requires Elon Musk-50,000IQ-on the spectrum-type-operational ability.
You think this for one simple reason:
Solutions sell.
The harder something looks, the more those Miami internet furus can charge you for their magic solutions.
Don’t believe me? Think about it:
If Igan Hadzhi doesn’t scare you about not being a 16 year old millionaire who wears Loro Piana underwear, he can’t sell you his course for $2,500
If Andrew Skates doesn’t scare you about escaping the matrix using your Aikido, he can’t sell you his discord membership for $49.99/month.
If Apple doesn’t remove your headphone jack, how will they sell you $550 wireless headphones? (guilty buyer)
You get the idea.
To be clear, I’m not hating at all. I actually strongly believe:
If there’s a market demand for it, go capture it otherwise someone else will.
But thinking that you need an ultra high IQ to achieve anything is wrong.
You simply need one obvious and low-effort plan that works.
Do that consistently for a decade and you’ll win.
Simple.
You want to lose fat?
No need for a complex workout routine, new gym clothes, or a Jeff Nippard style science based lifting masterclass. Just eat less and move more. Low IQ.
You want to make more money?
Rather than trying to invent a new product, finding new customers and carving a brand new niche…just increase your existing prices. Low IQ.
You want to get more customers?
Rather than creating a grand production on YouTube that will cost you $2,000 with no guarantee of ROI… just make 5 tiktoks a day from your phone. Low IQ.
I’ve taken this “lower your IQ” idea and ran with it. I apply it to most things and it’s working amazingly.
Recent real life example:
I recently bet my barber $500 with this exact framework and won the bet.
This guy’s problem was not having enough customers on his seat.
He wanted to do too many 1000IQ things to solve his problem like buy new cameras, make high-production YouTube videos, sell merch, buy a mic and start a podcast.
I told him F all that. Lower your IQ.
Asked him, “How are you getting customers now?”
He said, “Instagram”.
Okay, the lowest IQ move is to start making 5X instagram videos per day and consistently improve your videos every week.
“What should I post”
“Bro just copy your competition’s videos that get millions of views. No need to come up with new ideas. Do what’s already obviously working. Lower your IQ.”
I put money where my mouth was and said:
“If this doesn’t change your life in 90 days, I’ll pay you $500” and a bet was born (it was more like a challenge coz I wasn’t getting anything in return)
But guess what?
In just 4 days this guy was getting brand deals and sponsorship inquiries. His life changed and I won the bet.
My point is, lowering your IQ removes resistance.
The biggest mistake people make?
They’re standing in their own way.
Stuck overthinking, chasing novelty, letting your ego convince you that “complex” is the answer, and avoiding the already proven obvious work.
My advice: Get out of your own way and just do the thing that you see working. Do the obvious thing consistently.
You will win more.
An extension of this idea
Whenever I go to my mentor with another “bright idea”, he stops me and says:
“What’s the lowest effort way to achieve this task?… Go do that first”
At first, I HATED this.
“Why does this guy not want me to try anything FRESH, EXCITING, GIGABRAIN?”
Then I learned:
New doesn’t mean better.
Effort doesn’t guarantee results.
Complexity doesn’t mean you’re smarter.
You’ll be burning through business resources trying to achieve something with a 0 guarantee of working. Not a great probabilistic play.
Most of the time the fastest way to keep winning is to do what’s already working, with fewer tabs open in your mind.
Selling juice?
Just go sell a bigger glass of juice.
Don’t overcomplicate it by trying to open an iced matcha line.
Lower your IQ.
If you don’t take away anything else from this post, just remember this:
The dumbest version of you who executes the obvious thing without getting distracted will be MORE SUCCESSFUL than the smartest version of you trying to do new high IQ tasks every day.
Forever.
If you’re a visual learner, check this graph I made (Hope it makes sense/ is correct lol):
Alright, that’s it for now.
Tell your friends about Edge and Error.
I think now I’ve earned the right to trash poor people in my next piece.
So make sure you bring some coins for the next read.
Until then,
Do something worth remembering (Preferably low IQ).
